Granite Memorials

Timeless beauty and durability. Premium granite markers hand-selected for quality and crafted for generations.

The Lasting Beauty of Natural Stone

Granite has been used for memorials for centuries — and for good reason. It's one of the hardest natural materials on Earth, resistant to weather, erosion, and time. A granite memorial will stand as a tribute for generations, maintaining its beauty with minimal maintenance.

At Ardmore Monuments, we source premium granite from the world's finest quarries. Each stone is inspected for quality, color consistency, and structural integrity before being crafted into a memorial.

Questions About Granite Memorials

How long does granite last?
+
Properly maintained granite can last for hundreds of years. It's one of the most durable natural materials available. We guarantee our craftsmanship, and most granite markers have stood for generations.
Does granite require maintenance?
+
Granite requires very little maintenance. Occasional cleaning with water and mild soap is usually sufficient. We recommend avoiding pressure washing and harsh chemicals. For heavily soiled monuments, we offer professional cleaning services.
Can I choose any granite color?
+
We offer over 20 granite varieties. Some colors are more readily available than others. Blue Pearl and certain exotic granites may require longer lead times. We'll discuss availability during your consultation.
What's the difference between polished and honed granite?
+
Polished granite has a glossy, reflective surface that brings out the stone's color and pattern. Honed granite has a matte finish that's less reflective. Both are excellent choices — polished offers more contrast for inscriptions, while honed has a softer, more traditional appearance.
Do you install at all cemeteries?
+
We work with cemeteries throughout North Alabama. Each cemetery has different rules and foundation requirements. We'll handle all coordination with the cemetery and ensure your monument meets their specifications.
